COURSE DESCRIPTION
Science & Public Policy will explore the increasing complex interactions between and among science, technology and the public interest. The students will address why (rather than how) scientists and engineers ought to address the broader impacts of their research and identify and delve into topics related to human rights, freedom of scientific inquiry, and the professional responsibilities of scientist and engineers. They will participate in activities in realms where science, government and society intersect.
